Product Details

Where there is hope, there is power. Wear this cuff to inspire others to instill hope by introducing them to take action with Amnesty International's Urgent Action Network. Amnesty International's Urgent Action Network provides an effective and rapid response to urgent situations involving individuals whose human rights are under imminent threat. The first Urgent Action was issued in 1973, following the arrest of Luiz Rossi, a professor of economics at the University of Sao Paulo. Today, members of the Urgent Action Network continue that tradition by composing and sending letters, e-mails, and faxes to government officials who have the power to stop the human rights violations. When they receive appeals from all over the world, authorities quickly realize that their actions are witnessed by an international audience deeply concerned about the case's outcome. Many people have told Amnesty International that they are alive today because of such letters. http://www.amnestyusa.org/uan

I have an average-size wrist for a woman, and this thing is too short by about a quarter inch. It just doesn't feel right. My husband would like to have one, but it won't fit him.

I ordered this bracelet for my partner and, as I lie here with advanced ovarian cancer, I am ordering one for myself. We will then be TRULY married! It is exquisite and the message -- hope and power -- is one that I want to instill...distill...convey in every way. AI has been my #1 cause for decades and I celebrate (and contribute to) their VITAL work throughout the world. My everyone share in this goal!
